Clyde Shanks was appointed to co-ordinate a professional team to prepare a planning application for a world class new maintenance compound befitting of Royal County Down’s globally renowned links and its status as one of the top 10 golf courses in the world.

The planning application is a ‘major’ and been the subject of PAN, PAD and PACC and its highly sensitive environmental designation status has required a shadow appropriate assessment to be prepared in compliance with the Habitats Regulations.  The application is well advanced and awaiting final submission of an updated ecological assessment.
