Clyde Shanks was appointed to co-ordinate a major full planning application for a large, zoned housing site at Gransha Road in Bangor. As a major planning application this has involved PAN, PAD and PACC. In accordance with the post Covid protocols an online public consultation magazine was prepared and hosted on our website prior to a full planning application submission to Ards and North Down Borough Council. The site is zoned for housing within draft BMAP which identifies a number of key site requirements. The initial proposals for the site comprised some 187 dwellings which has been reduced by some 30 dwellings to address badger mitigation and need for 25 metre separation zone between badger setts and foraging trails and the nearest residential property. All consultees have returned no objection responses and the application is anticipated to be presented to ANDBC planning committee in summer 2024.
