Clyde Shanks was appointed by leading NI developers MRP to co-ordinate the public consultation and full planning application for a 299 unit build to rent development on under-utilised lands on the edge of the city centre. A detailed application package was prepared by architect Todd including design and access statement, viability assessment, daylight/sunlight assessment, TVIA, drainage assessment, transport assessment, noise impact assessment, flood risk assessment. The critical issues related to viability and the PS affordable housing policy with viability evidence prepared by CBRE. Full planning permission was secured from BCC in January 2024, subject to a section 76 legal agreement. The development represents a £65 million investment in Belfast city centre and will inject footfall into the area and be a catalyst for further regeneration.
