Clyde Shanks has been retained as planning adviser to the Becon Consortium in managing all aspects of the planning process for arc 21’s proposed £250million residual waste management facility.

We have secured four recommendations to approve from DfI Planning and the Planning Appeals Commission during the application’s journey to date.  The application has been the subject of two Judicial Reviews the most recent being conceded by DfI accepting that Minister Mallon decision to refuse in April 2022 was irrational and unlawful.

Further environmental information has been submitted and is under re-consideration by DfI.
