The Brief
Clyde Shanks has co-ordinated the professional team for two major planning applications vital in shaping the future growth of Lisburn city: a 1.6km new road, the M1-Knockmore link connecting north and west Lisburn to the A1/M1, and a major new mixed-use neighbourhood.
Our Role
We have managed both applications, including the appeal of the outline application to the Planning Appeals Commission and a fresh outline submission following the adoption of Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council’s Plan Strategy.
The Outcome
A detailed submission was made to DfI Planning in January 2026 seeking a reconsideration of the notice of intention to refuse and requesting a fresh notice of opinion to approve.
