Clyde Shanks has co-ordinated the professional team in securing resolution to grant planning permission by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council for two major planning applications that are vital in shaping the future growth of Lisburn city.  This includes full planning permission for a 1.6km new road, the M1-Knockmore link road, connecting west and north-west Lisburn to the strategic road network of the M1 east-west and the A1 north-south.

Delivery of the new road opens up a new neighbourhood that will extend to 1300 new dwellings, including 130 affordable housing units, extensive riverside parkland and open space, localised retail and community facilities and over 750,000 sq ft of new employment/commercial floorspace.
