Clyde Shanks has co-ordinated the professional team for two major planning applications that are vital in shaping the future growth of Lisburn city.  This includes a 1.6km new road, the M1-Knockmore link road connecting north and west Lisburn to the A1/M1 and a major new mixed-use neighbourhood.  In October 2023 DfI approved the full planning application for the road but issued a notice of opinion to refuse for the outline application for the mixed-use neighbourhood.  This is the subject of appeal to the Planning Appeals Commission.

A fresh outline planning application submission was made to LCCC in early 2025 following the adoption of LCCC’s Plan Strategy.
